| ABOUT OUR LAKES We are located in Paw Paw Township, Van Buren County, Michigan. The climate and surrounding fertile soils put us in the heart of some of the best fruit-bearing orchards in the country. This area is also known for its established and popular wineries. Our lake community consists of Three Mile Lake and Little Three Mile Lake, which are joined by a limited-access channel. Three Mile Lake is an all-sports lake, but it has boating restrictions unique to only a few lakes in the state of Michigan. Little Three Mile Lake has restrictions regarding high-speed boating and the towing of skiers.* The combined acreage of both lakes totals 176 navigable acres and approximately 100 acres of pristine wetlands, which are the home for many species of wildlife. Anglers enjoy fishing our lakes which contain an abundance of bluegill, pumpkinseed, black crappie, yellow perch and hybrid sunfish. Northern pike, bowfin and largemouth bass complete the well balanced fish population. The area surrounding the lakes is rural, but convenient services are not far away. We are located three miles from the village of Paw Paw, which is the county seat, and the cities of Kalamazoo and Portage are a quick 20-minute drive. * Before boating it is recommended that the rules and regulations unique to Three Mile Lake and Little Three Mile Lake be reviewed. Our mission is to promote and to operate as a community of common interest, to try to preserve, protect and enhance the waters and watershed, land values, enjoyment of property and social relations of Three Mile Lake and Little Three Mile Lake. Are you supporting the efforts of your association? Your financial support, as well as your time and talents, are needed to help represent all the owners of Three Mile Lake and Little Three Mile Lake and protect your riparian rights. JOIN US If you wish to join the Three Mile Lake Association mail a check made out to the "THREE MILE LAKE CORPORATION" in the amount of $20 with a MEMBERSHIP FORM to THREE MILE LAKE CORPORATION P.O. BOX 482 PAW PAW, MI 49079 (Dues of the association are $20 per year (Jan. 1st - Dec. 31st) and are renewed each spring.) |
